You're all set.

Chrono lives inside YouTube, so there's nothing to open. Here's where to look, and three things worth trying in your first minute.

  1. Pin it (optional)

Click the puzzle piece in the toolbar and pin Chrono.Right-click the toolbar, choose Customize, and drag Chrono in. The popup holds every setting. The same settings sit behind ⋮ in the Panel, so pinning is a convenience, not a requirement.

  2. Open a YouTube video

Any normal video. Look at the top of the sidebar, above the recommendations: 12:30 left, then “Ends 3:45 PM · at 1×”. In a narrow window it sits below the video instead.

  3. Press + twice

Watch the finish time move. Then click the row to expand it: the speed table, and a Target chip that turns “Done by 6 PM” into the speed you need.

Good to know

  • Speed is shared. Chrono's − / + set YouTube's own speed, and YouTube's menu or Shift+> move Chrono. Above 2×, Chrono carries on where YouTube's menu stops, up to 4×.
  • The player badge adds “/ ends 3:45 PM” after the player's time, fullscreen included. Turn it off in the popup if you'd rather not.
  • Playlists get a line on their page: total time, time at your speed, and how many entries are unavailable. In the Panel, the Playlist scope counts up to any entry you choose.
  • Clock format follows your system. Set 12- or 24-hour in the popup if it guesses wrong.
  • Nothing leaves your browser. Chrono collects no data at all. Privacy is one screen long.
